Two Claremont High School alums are headed to an international stage, and we invite our community to cheer them on. Singer, cellist Azalea Segura Mora (CHS ’20) and guitarist, vocalist Norma Rodriguez (CHS ’20), performing as Asália y Norma, have advanced to the final round of MEXICO CANTA: por la Paz y Contra las Adicciones. This binational music competition showcases songs about peace and anti-addiction.

Azalea and Norma first met in the CHS Orchestra and later co-founded the student band Corazón de Melón, winning CHS Battle of the Bands two years in a row. Since graduation, they have continued creating original, bilingual music that reflects the skills and creativity nurtured in Claremont schools.
