Principal's Message
A Message from Mrs. Andrea Deligio
Dear San Antonio Parents, Guardians, Caregivers and Students,
I am thrilled to serve you as Principal of San Antonio High School and Independent Study! Whether you are a returning family or a newly enrolled family, I want to extend a warm welcome to everyone.
What is San Antonio High School and Independent Study all about? It’s about students eager to learn in an environment that is tailored to their needs rather than a one-size fits all approach. It’s about young adults who connect with dedicated staff members who have established a strong, family-like culture. You can be sure that your student will be educated and cared for during their time here. It’s common for alumni to visit, a testament to the caring relationships that are built here. Likewise, parents share their gratitude for the life-changing experiences provided for their children. SAHS and Independent Study are also about the empowerment students find when they are able to succeed academically. And it’s leadership opportunities in clubs, sports or ASB that may not have been experienced elsewhere.
San Antonio High School prides itself in the learning experience we offer:
∙ A rigorous set of courses that are UC/CSU a-g approved.
∙ Partnerships with Citrus College and Baldy View ROP, where students can take courses earning high school, college credit (Citrus) and job training (BVROP) which in some cases prepares students for careers within a couple of years after graduating from high school.
∙ Online/blended learning for Credit Recover/Acceleration
∙ We are a California Model Continuation School
∙ The only continuation school in California to be named an Apple Distinguished School, and one of three in CUSD.
∙ A 6-Year WASC accredited education
∙ Project-based, interdisciplinary coursework
∙ Block Scheduling
∙ Extra-curricular sports in the Inland Valley League (4 sports and 5 schools represented),
Student Leadership, Clubs, and Yearbook.
I look forward to meeting and working with our families in the coming year!
GO LIONS!
Andrea Deligio, M.Ed.
